Pours a dark colour with a good lasting tanned head. Aroma is of roasted malts. Taste is a smoky one, roasted malts, a little chocolate, coffee and, at the back, a blackcurrant note. Pleasant bitterness. Smooth mouth feel. Reminds me of Guinness original but more creamy like Murphy's. 4,5% Strength.
Rating: Good.

Overall: A true Irish stout.
Wells Banana Bread Beer
Pours a clear coper-amber colour with a good lasting head. Aroma is dominated by sweet banana-like toffee candy, and soft butter with a little dough. Tastes better than it smells, the banana is well balanced with a white bread flavour and, in the background, a bitter spicy note. Crisp mouth feel. The banana taste lingers with a slight hop bitterness. 5,2% Strength.
Rating: Good.
