Cleaning greenhouse and found this hairy thing

I haven't done much with this blog in the past two years. A lot has changed -I have changed, though not my choices in operating systems, I still run linux everyday and swear by it, and I still grow hops by the dozen and brew beer with them. However I don't know what to blog about any more.

And so I'll point you to my posterous: A mixture of quick blogging, multimedia, writing, my photography and hop growing.

"One day I will find the right words, and they will be simple." — Jack Kerouac.

Got a few more seeds, fancy packeted ones too, in the post today.

Cinderella pumpkins, Sweet dumpling squash, Waltham butternut Squash, and, the one I'm most excited about, Brandywine tomatoes -I hate growing tomatoes but these are the biggest and one of the hardest to grow, a fun challenge and something different I'll be able to blog about.

Propagating Gooseberries from cuttings

  • 0 easy. I cut some last week and they are already growing.

Take a cutting of newer wood a few inches long. Between 8 Or 12 is ideal. Stip the lower buds leaving 4 or 5 at the top. Make a slopping cut at the top -leave the bottom level.

Place outside or indoors in pots for extra growth, with the lowest bud 1-2 inch above soil.
